crimson and white - yui
The official photo set was a 1+3 feature, so to take it as a series release, this time I maintained the same layout throughtout the whole set.
The common theme is in their outfit - the crimson red orange, and the background in the location - the whites. Since I have to put the pics as a relatively small box due to them being official photos (ie. small), I had lots of room to pull a geometric-typographical design that also borrows the red & white theme.
With use of a mix of grey + dull red, a combination of squary graphic against linear font type maintained a certain balance in accordance to the composition of the whole grid. Some subtle bells and whistles like the overlaying color-bars, and the finishing touch the butterfly site signatures spice up the canvas as accents.
Finally I had to cheat a bit since the colors in original photo wasn't all *that* crimson. I did some rather careful color adjustments to make them less yellow than usual.
