A pretty new aproach on my part...
The attention catching flower watermark is from a stock photo, I sort of did a vector trace onto it so get down just the outline. Coupled with that texture on the left, which was in fact a vase photo, to put up a whole textural theme here.
I spent the most time playing with the blending modes, much of it is to achieve that sense of depth to juice up the visual impact of that glowy, lucious light source look :) The outcome is a wide variety of vivid blues in the background, and it fuses with the miki pic in a pretty damn nice way.
