An experiment on the girly look.
The first time I saw this scan I thought Miki was wearing a pair of prop angel wings of sorts, it just... screams that angelic look and all. Then it came like, so pink, so... feminine, it coupling with that brown background really reminds me a great deal of... milk shake... yeah.
So the whole wallpaper was set to have that color scheme. The left half is a white backdrop that blocks out the photo edge. Some other photographic textures are put forth upon so the left and right look consistent. This is almost a 50-50 cut so the left is damn empty, to solve that I threw a ring bind coiling spine sort of thing to distort the proportion of the whole screen.
One thing you may have noticed is that everything is inclined at the same angle. Hmm yeah, smart huh...
That brown on pink has quite a classy look, I knew i had to do a serif route, and there goes those various weights of Georgia all over the place. It took quite some time to really layout those text in a way that they don't obstract the photo while still maintain a relation to the overall composition...
