mellowness
Among the same series of mellow, soft shots of the photobook cover, I particularly liked the composition of this one.
A somewhat bright / over-exposed tone of the photograph limited down to an equally bright wallpaper design. The colors of the whole thing is quite rich though, the blue green, the orange, the beige... to juice them up a bit I coaxed over a textural layer to darken up the saturated areas.
I upscaled the scan a bit so it needed a mosaic + posterize treatment, which you probably can't even tell that I did.
Type choice is Century Gothic, a very minimalistic yet mordern look... it just sits there hoping itself would disappear somehow.
